Mountain View Cemetery

Mt. View Cemetery began as a family cemetery with the first known burial in 1843. The three-acre cemetery was donated by the Osburn family to the City of Beaumont in 1888, and Beaumont Public Cemetery was formally established in 1921. The cemetery has expanded to comprise 10.7 acres, with additional land donated by the Carl Mellor family. The grounds feature burial plots, wall niches for inurnment, a beautiful fountain niche, and a bell tower that provides bells and music for visitors and the surrounding community. The cemetery maintains a park-like setting within the City of Beaumont.
