Diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June 2007 and passed in June 2008.

Graduated top of his class with honors and distinction from Commonwealth in 2019, awarded Dr. George Poston Memorial Scholarship Award for excellence in embalming and restorative art. Former award-winning broadcast journalist and producer at KHOU 11 News Houston. Served apprenticeship under Ryan Hairell, Raymond Bradshaw, and Tripp Carter. Active in Houston civic engagement and community outreach.
