In California, a cremation is authorized by the direct next-of-kin as listed in the health and safety code 7100. All California Cremation will work with you to file the death certificate and permit for cremation. In California, the final disposition cannot occur without a certified permit. This process can take on average 7-10 business days. At this time, All California Cremation can assist you in ordering certified death certificates from the county where the death occurred, or you can go in person to obtain them. The wait time varies by county, but on average is 2-3 weeks from when the death certificate has been filed. The permit is issued electronically, and once it is issued, the cremation can be scheduled.

Like most funeral homes, we charge additional fees to families if their loved ones weigh over a particular weight. Under 300 lbs is included. 300-400 lbs is $350. 400-500 lbs is $600. 500-600 lbs is $850. We will always do our best to work with your family.

In the great majority of Southern California, we do not have any transportation fees, regardless of the time of day or day of the week. However, there are some outlying areas that do have transportation fees. Fees depend on the county of passing.

You and your family may be entitled to survivors' benefits through Social Security. For more information and to see if this applies to you, visit the Social Security Information page. Additionally, you can call or visit your local Social Security office.

If your loved one is a veteran, or the spouse of a veteran, he/she may be eligible to be buried at a national cemetery at no cost. The VA will cover the costs for the burial, but any and all mortuary and crematory costs must still be paid by the family.
