United Islamic Cemetery

The United Islamic Youth Cemetery was founded in 1989 in Adelanto, California by the late Sheikh Zaid Assfy and is the first fully dedicated Islamic cemetery in Southern California. The cemetery provides an exclusive, completely separate burial ground that adheres to strict Islamic burial guidelines and offers services including grave opening and closing, grave building with bricks (lahid), tablets for the body, and temporary headstones. All services are handled by licensed Muslim funeral personnel with 22 years of experience. The cemetery now has over 600 graves and works closely with Islamic mortuaries and mosques throughout Southern California to serve families of the Islamic faith with respect and dignity, offering next-day interments when possible and proper burials with accurate lot direction facing Mecca.
