Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

The basic service fee includes conducting the arrangements conference; planning the funeral; consulting with the family and clergy; shelter of remains; preparing and filing of necessary notices; obtaining necessary authorization and permits; and coordinating with the cemetery, crematory or other third parties. This fee is already included in charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.

Stewart's Rose Manor Funeral Service accepts cash, cashier's check, money orders, and many insurance policies of at least two years of age. We also honor most pre-arrangement trust and burial plans.

Pre-arrangements ease the burden on your loved ones and also saves substantial time and money when death occurs. Prices can be locked in by using a guaranteed trust. Through pre-arrangements, you can also guarantee that your wishes will be adhered to. As mandated by law, no one can interfere with the arrangements in which you have previously contracted and paid for.

The first 24 hours are free. After the first 24-hour period, we charge $150 per day or any part thereof for holding remains that have not been embalmed.
