About Our Lady of Guadalupe Church
Our Lady of Guadalupe in Ontario, California started as a chapel of St. George Parish in the 1930s. The parish was officially established in 1935 with Fr. Jose Nunez as its first pastor. The church at its present location was constructed in 1946, with its opening ceremony held on December 12, 1948. Today, the parish is home to approximately 4,000 parishioners. The parish celebrates the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, their patron saint, each year with a special solemnity that begins on the eve of the feast and continues throughout the night, with large crowds attending to honor Our Lady of Guadalupe.
