New Choice Burials

New Choice Charters, dba Capt. Dawn's New Choice Burials, was formed in 2009 and registered in the state of Florida by Captain Dawn Mergelsberg. We have been providing funerals by scattering cremains in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of South Florida, including Miami, Miami Beach, Surfside, Bal Harbor, Hallandale, Hollywood and Sunny Isles. Captain Dawn works with many of the funeral homes and crematories in the Miami, Broward, and Fort Lauderdale areas on a regular basis. She provides her clients with the highest level of professional and caring service to help them commemorate the memories of their departed loved ones. Services depart by boat from Haulover Inlet located at 108th Street and Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, where families can choose to express memorial words or have Captain Dawn recite them while the ashes are being scattered at sea. Clients receive a certificate of "Scattering of the Ashes" which includes the date, latitude, and longitude of the final resting place signed by the captain.
