Nestled below the San Gabriel Mountains above Pasadena, Mountain View Mortuary & Cemetery is one of the few remaining family-operated cemetery/mortuary properties in Southern California. The cemetery was established in 1882, the mortuary in 1959, and the mausoleum—designed by architect Cecil E. Bryan and featuring a 180-foot Great Gallery with hand-painted frescoes and Italian marble surfaces—was added to the property in 1971. The facility offers a tradition of service established in the nineteenth century combined with modern, personalized service. Grounds are open 365 days a year from 8am to 5pm, with professional funeral staff available 24 hours a day.
