About Mission Funeral Home - Heritage Chapel

Mission Funeral Home was established in 1959 by the Villaseñor family and is Austin's oldest family-owned and managed funeral home. In 1966, the Villaseñor family and Mission Funeral Home were among the first responders during the UT Tower shooting, a pivotal moment in Austin's history. The home has built a long history within the Hispanic community of Austin and offers services in Spanish as well as international transportation for citizens of Mexico, Guatemala, and other countries. In recent years, the home expanded to include Mission Pet Memorials to serve families who wish to memorialize their beloved pets.
