Contributes to animal welfare advancement through national conferences and working groups. Lives with a resilient dog with no front legs and numerous fish.

    Doctor of Veterinary Medicine; Master of Business Administration; completed 3-year intensive residency-training program in shelter medicine from UC-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine

    Joined HSSV in 2012 after a year as contract veterinary surgeon. Worked as shelter veterinarian in Colorado, Arizona, and northern California. One of just a handful of residency-trained Shelter Veterinarians in the country. Both degrees from Colorado State University. Enjoys traveling and volunteering internationally with veterinary support organizations. Fosters underage shelter kittens and has adopted shelter dogs.
