Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home was established on August 30, 2013, when owner and funeral director Anne Garrett-Ward and co-founders Tom Juffs and Georgina Hill (Anne's mother) purchased and transformed a historic building in Chatsworth, Ontario. The structure, built around the 1870s, was originally constructed as the Campbell House hotel/tavern and later known as the Chatsworth Hotel and Cheers. After stripping it to bare brick and removing forty tons of debris, the team rebuilt the entire infrastructure into a modern, air-conditioned, fully wheelchair-accessible facility. The firm's mission is to offer care and compassion to families, providing personalized and dignified services that honor the lives of loved ones while maintaining the building's historic charm and deep community connection.
