The cemetery is located in the Naval Base community of Mayport Naval Basin and features a granite wall displaying the names of service men and women from WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, and Desert Storm. The funeral home, renamed V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services at Beaches Memorial Park, operates on grounds shaded by majestic giant live oak trees and tranquil gardens. Ferreira's heritage is deeply rooted in Florida; his grandfather was Principal at Fletcher Senior High School in the Beaches community for 15 years, and the Florida State has recognized the Ferreira Family as a "Pioneer Family" dating back to 1565 when his Great Grandfather settled in St. Augustine. Mr. Ferreira holds multiple state licenses including Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, Licensed Real Estate Agent, Licensed Life Insurance Agent, and Licensed Boat Captain.

Mr. Ferreira began his career at age 14 as a groundskeeper at Oaklawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. Following his grandfather's death in 1989, he was called to serve bereaved families. He worked at Arlington Funeral Home and Fred Hunter Funeral Homes before opening Suwannee Funeral Home in Live Oak in 2002. He has since expanded to multiple locations across Florida. He is currently Vice President of the Independent Funeral Directors of Florida Association, past president of the Baker County Chamber of Commerce, and currently chairman of the Baker County Hospital Authority Board. He mentors mortuary students and donated property to the Samaritan Food Bank.
