Yes, you can sell the property on your own. However, working with a cemetery broker provides benefits including pre-screening and verification of paperwork, escrow services, larger market presence, and protection against scammers and flakes.

When buying cemetery property, you are generally not purchasing the land, but are instead purchasing interment rights or the right to bury on that land. The cemetery is selling the right to bury on that spot, and they are selling specific interment rights.

If you are in an area where we have a team member, we will put the two of you in communication with each other to coordinate a time and place to meet. With most cemeteries, you are not required to be present, though some cemeteries do not accept representatives and require your notarized signature on mailed paperwork.
