Exeter District Cemetery

The Exeter Public Cemetery District owns and operates three public cemeteries serving the communities of Exeter, Farmersville, Lemon Cove, Lindcove, Outside Creek, Yokohl Valley, and surrounding areas. The District is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Tulare County Board of Supervisors. Day-to-day operations are managed by a full-time Superintendent and support staff who coordinate burial services, maintain cemetery grounds and infrastructure, assist families and funeral homes, manage district records, and ensure the continued operation and upkeep of all district facilities. The District operates independently and does not receive direct operating funds from the County of Tulare, the City of Exeter, or other local government entities. Funding is derived primarily from revenues generated through burial services, plot sales, endowment care contributions, and other cemetery-related services, as well as a limited special district property tax assessment. The District is committed to providing respectful, professional, and compassionate service while honoring the memories of those entrusted to its care and preserving its cemeteries for future generations.
