Crotty Funeral Home & Cremation Services was founded in 2011 by Debra Crotty, a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1996, and her daughter Jarrah Crotty Gaskins. Debra's path into funeral service began while working as a cosmetologist, providing hair services for funeral homes, and she eventually pursued formal training at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. After serving as General Manager for SCI/Dignity Memorial overseeing multiple locations, she and Jarrah opened Crotty with a mission to care for families with genuine compassion and dignity. The home made a profound commitment to never profit from services for children, providing meaningful, personalized services at affordable cost instead. Jarrah has been recognized as Young Professional of the Year in Texas in 2020 and serves as President of the South Central Texas Funeral Directors Association. The home recently completed a brand new, beautiful facility and maintains bilingual Spanish-speaking staff.
