Coker-Mathews Funeral Home

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home was founded by L.O. "Jim" Coker, Dowell Mathews, Paul Mathews, and Emma Dell Mathews, who served the community with a "Dedicated Service" tradition. Butch Mitchell began working at the funeral home in 1966 while still in high school, became a licensed funeral director eight years later, and his family became owners in 1988. He remains President and emphasizes that the funeral home employs more licensed funeral directors and support personnel than any other funeral home in the area, which they claim reduces problems before, during, and after funerals. The home offers personalized funeral services, cremation, and veteran services.
