Smith has been in the funeral industry since 1963, when he began working with his father-in-law, Bill Spurlock. His leadership extends to industry response, including involvement following the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. The firm also opened Pet Rest Memorial Park and Crematory in December 1977 in Sachse, which served as one of Dallas County's first pet cemeteries with over 22,000 pets interred.     Devoted and experienced funeral home owner and director. Started in the industry in 1963 working with his father-in-law, Bill Spurlock. Currently owns four funeral homes in the DFW Metroplex. His leadership abilities were used in the aftermath of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing of the Alfred P. Murray building. Charles and his father Floyd Smith opened Pet Rest Memorial Park and Crematory in December 1977 in Sachse, Texas, which was one of the only pet cemeteries in Dallas County with over 22,000 pets interred.
