About Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park

Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to develop memorials honoring approximately 1,100 veterans who left Central Florida and never returned. The Foundation is a totally volunteer organization; no member, director, or officer has taken compensation for their services. All officers and board members personally donated to the Foundation for the construction of the memorial. The Memorial is located adjacent to the new Orlando VA Medical Center overlooking a tranquil lake and a short walk to the campus Chapel and Domiciliary. It honors veterans from Orange, Lake, Osceola, Seminole, Brevard, and Volusia counties. The Memorial Dedication Ceremony was held on November 11, 2013, following a $3 million construction project. The park features smaller private areas with granite monuments bearing the names of those who fell in specific conflicts, with shaded seating and landscaped grounds.
