Transportation of your loved one from the place of death into our care locally, professional services by a California Cremation Director and staff, obtaining and preparation of all required authorizations, death certificates and permits, initial notification to Social Security, care and refrigeration of the deceased, an alternative cremation container, cremation process performed individually by licensed crematory operators, and disposition including your choice of release the ashes in a basic container or scatter in the San Francisco Bay near the Golden Gate Bridge.

Department of Consumer Affairs fee ($11.50), death certificates ($26 each depending on County), disposition permit ($12), any applicable sales tax, any coroner fees, shipping or postage, special needs alternative containers over 250 lbs, and any type of viewing or ceremony.

The Hospice Nurse, Hospital Nurse or Physician will come to the room and make the pronouncement of death. Ask the Nurse to contact California Cremation Society at 1-408-998-4066.

Call the local police. They will determine if the Coroner needs to be involved and will authorize California Cremation Society to come and bring the body into its care.

Cremated remains are taken to the California Cremation Society office in the appropriate urn, usually 7-10 days after death has occurred.
