  Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. From 1985-1998, traveled across the country speaking about drug prevention. Founder of Van N. Houser Ministries, a non-profit counseling and conference ministry, and the American Foundation for drug prevention. Served as pastor at North Side Baptist Church from November 1, 1999 through 2023, when he retired as Pastor Emeritus. Lives in Fort Worth with his wife Susie.

Retired in 2020. Lives in Weatherford with his wife Brenda K Cousins and are active members of Victory Baptist Church.

  Born and raised in Fort Worth with longtime roots in Parker County. Her great-grandfather was director of Kiker-Warren Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas from 1944 through several decades and served on the State Board of Morticians. She studied cultural anthropology at the University of California in Santa Cruz. Attends St. Andrew's Anglican Parish in downtown Fort Worth.
