Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services is an independent funeral home and crematory in Houston featuring an on-site crematory and a Georgian-style red-brick facility that operates on a one-family-at-a-time service model. The home was co-founded in 2003 and opened in March 2004, emphasizing home-like atmosphere and dignity in services for families from diverse cultures and faiths.
Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services was co-founded in 2003 by Ronald Francis Bradshaw and Michael "Tripp" Carter, opening its doors in March 2004. The funeral home is housed in a red-bricked, Georgian-style mansion designed to look like a baronial home rather than a traditional funeral facility. Ronald Bradshaw, who served his funeral director apprenticeship at Geo. H. Lewis and Sons in Houston, was previously a respected interior decorator in New York whose work appeared in Architectural Digest and Vogue. He believed a funeral home should be just that—a home, serving only one family at a time, with beauty designed to soften sorrow and make the ultimate goodbye experience accessible to everyone, not just the city's elite. Bradshaw passed away in June 2008 from pancreatic cancer. Co-founder Tripp Carter, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University and is a licensed funeral director, continues to operate the home and is deeply involved in Houston's civic and charitable community. The home features on-site crematory services and maintains a tradition of professional, compassionate service to families of all walks of life, cultures, and faiths.
