Funeral home · Channelview, TX
Bradshaw-Carter is an independent funeral home and crematory in Houston with an on-site crematory. Co-founded in 2003 by Ronald Francis Bradshaw and Michael "Tripp" Carter, it opened in a red-bricked, Georgian-style building in March 2004 designed to accommodate one family at a time with a home-like, upscale atmosphere.
Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services was co-founded in 2003 by Ronald Francis Bradshaw, a former New York interior decorator whose work appeared in Architectural Digest and Vogue, and Michael "Tripp" Carter, a Tulane University graduate with a fundraising background. The funeral home opened in March 2004 in a red-bricked, Georgian-style building designed to look like a baronial mansion. Bradshaw believed a funeral home should function as an actual home, serving only one family at a time, and the facility was built with no expense spared in design and decor. The philosophy behind Bradshaw-Carter is that beauty can soften sorrow and that everyone, not just the city's elite, deserves access to an exceptional goodbye experience. Ronald Francis Bradshaw passed away from pancreatic cancer in June 2008, but the funeral home continues under the direction of co-founder Tripp Carter and a licensed, professional staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
