Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services is an independent funeral home and on-site crematory in the heart of Houston, housed in a red-bricked Georgian-style mansion that opened in 2004. Known for its home-like atmosphere that serves one family at a time, it offers burial, cremation, and veteran funeral services, with a professional staff that includes multiple licensed funeral directors and certified crematory operators.
Bradshaw-Carter was co-founded in 2003 by Ronald Francis Bradshaw and Michael "Tripp" Carter. Bradshaw, formerly a respected New York interior decorator, envisioned a funeral home designed like a baronial mansion—a true home that would serve only one family at a time. The red-bricked, Georgian-style facility opened in March 2004 with sparing attention to design and decor, reflecting Bradshaw's belief that "beauty can soften sorrow." Ronald Bradshaw passed away in June 2008 after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Today, Tripp Carter continues to lead the funeral home, which maintains the founding philosophy of providing elevated funeral services and on-site cremations in a welcoming, refined setting where families feel the house is theirs alone, never bumping into strangers or feeling rushed.

In Memoriam: Ronald Francis Bradshaw
Co-Founder, Deceased 2008
Ronald Francis Bradshaw served his Funeral Director apprenticeship at Geo. H. Lewis and Sons in Houston before co-founding Bradshaw-Carter with his partner in 2003. For years prior, Bradshaw was one of New York's most respected interior decorators, with work regularly featured in Architectural Digest and Vogue. He believed a funeral home should be just that—a home, and service only one family at a time. The red-bricked, Georgian-style Bradshaw-Carter, which opened in March 2004, looks like a baronial mansion. Bradshaw was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June 2007 and passed in June of 2008.
