Funeral home · Alief, TX
Bradshaw-Carter is an independent funeral home and on-site crematory in Houston's Alief area, founded in 2003 by Ronald Francis Bradshaw and Michael "Tripp" Carter. The red-bricked, Georgian-style facility emphasizes personalized service, serving one family at a time in a home-like setting with tasteful decor designed to balance professionalism with comfort and affordability.
Bradshaw-Carter Memorial & Funeral Services was co-founded in 2003 by Ronald Francis Bradshaw and Michael "Tripp" Carter. Ronald Bradshaw, who had trained as a funeral director at Geo. H. Lewis and Sons in Houston and previously worked as a respected interior decorator in New York (featured in Architectural Digest and Vogue), envisioned a funeral home that was truly a home—one serving only one family at a time. The red-bricked, Georgian-style facility, which opened in March 2004, reflects his belief that beauty can soften sorrow and was designed to offer an elevated experience to all families, not just the wealthy. Ronald Bradshaw passed away in June 2008 after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer in June 2007. The funeral home features an on-site crematory operated by certified professionals and maintains a tradition of personalized service, guiding families through arrangements with professionalism while keeping funerals affordable. Staff operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will conduct arrangements in families' homes if needed.

Ronald Francis Bradshaw
Co-Founder, Deceased 2008
Ronald Francis Bradshaw served his Funeral Director apprenticeship at Geo. H. Lewis and Sons in Houston before co-founding Bradshaw-Carter with his partner in 2003. For years prior, Bradshaw was one of New York's most respected interior decorators, with work regularly featured in Architectural Digest and Vogue. He believed a funeral home should be a home serving only one family at a time. The red-bricked, Georgian-style Bradshaw-Carter, which opened in March 2004, looks like a baronial mansion. Bradshaw was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June 2007 and passed in June of 2008.
